Mohammad Amir is a former Pakistani cricketer who is known for his left-arm fast bowling. Born on April 13, 1992, in Gujjar Khan, Pakistan, Amir had a promising start to his cricket career.

Amir burst onto the international scene as a teenager and quickly gained recognition for his exceptional talent and skill. He played his first game for the Pakistan team at the age of 17. Amir's ability to generate pace, swing the ball both ways and bowl with accuracy made him a formidable bowler.

Amir's career, however, underwent a big change in 2010 when he and two other Pakistani cricketers were implicated in a controversy involving spot-fixing during Pakistan's tour of England. Amir admitted to deliberately bowling no-balls for money and was subsequently banned from all forms of cricket for five years. He also faced legal consequences and served a prison sentence.

After being caught out by the Pakistan team, Amir made his comeback to international cricket in 2016. He returned to the Pakistan team and played in all three formats. Despite some early success, Amir's form and impact were not consistently at the same level as before the ban.

At the age of 28, Amir retired from International cricket. He cited issues with the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) and the team management as the reasons behind his decision.

Mohammad Amir's cricket career had its highs and lows, marked by early success, the spot-fixing controversy, and a mixed performance post-ban. His talent and skills as a left-arm fast bowler made him a notable player during his active years in international cricket.
